Our Policies
All our policies have been carefully composed to reflect statutory requirements, as well as our own research, training and individual ethos.
Our policies are working documents and are continually reviewed and updated to reflect current research and in response to what occurs in practice.
Policies
We have the following policies available to view on request:
Administering Medications, Closure (extreme weather, emergency), Complaints, Confidentiality, Privacy and Data Protection, Early Years Foundation Stage, Equality and Diversity, Fire Safety, First Aid, Infectious Diseases, Health and Safety, Intimate Care, Manual Handling, Missing Child, Partnership with Parents, Relationships Policy (previously behaviour), Safeguarding and Child Protection, Whistleblowing, Visitor.
Inclusion and Safety
As small-scale home provision, our spacious natural and nurturing environment can cater for a wide range of needs and we strive to support all children who attend Little Brympton. However, due to limits on our staff numbers and the use of real tools, we are not always able to meet the needs of children that require one-to-one, intensive regulation support, or a high level of adult intervention to maintain safety. Where a child’s needs mean that their safety, wellbeing, or the safety of others could be compromised, we may decide that Little Brympton is not the most suitable setting at that time. Any such decision is made carefully, compassionately, and always in the best interests of the child. We value open and honest communication with families and are always happy to discuss whether our setting is the right fit.
Ofsted
We are an Ofsted-registered childcare provider, listed on both the Early Years Register and the Childcare Register.
This means that we meet all the required standards for quality care and education for children of all ages.
Our inspection will take place in due course, and once completed, links to our reports will be available here.
